Ariane Arand (left), founder and pumping heart of the Loft. She learnt sewing from an old lady when she moved to the Azores in 1992. Settling over to Lisbon in 2010, she successfully completed a degree in pattern making, sewing & cutting at Modatex Fashion School and obtained the CCP (Certificado de Competências Pedagógicas) as a certified textile trainer. Extra courses she attended: corsettery, fashion accessories and quilting.
